Sweater knittin'

I simply had to cast on for the Corsica sweater almost as soon as I saw it. Swatched in a few different yarns and with an array of needles. Settled on Malabrigo worsted and off to River Knits I went. I chose Malabrigo in the Dusty colourway. I didn't check the gauge of the saxon braid band until I finished it (stupid stupid me) and lo and behold the braid was woefully small. Argh.

Finally last night, I was able to cast on with the new needles...seems to be going well so far, but we shall see.

Knittin & Production

Holy crap, I have got to finish some of my wips. Things are getting a wee bit out of hand. There are several partially complete knitting projects sitting around, even more than I fess up to on my ravelry notebook. Oh dear. Knitter ADD is strong and unyielding!
I worked on the baby blanket meant for Lucy's baby tonight at rehearsal. It was so exciting to see the play all the way through. I think our director (Larry) really nailed the casting quite well. I still feel like a bit of a goober, but hey--I'm having fun, which is something I haven't really been able to experience due to the extreme schedule I was keeping with school and work.

I still haven't really learned the ropes with this blogger thing. It feels like I have used Live Journal since the beginning of time (2001, if I remember correctly--which is so long ago it is almost like it WAS the beginning of time).

Anyhoo--With school being done (woo!) I will have plenty of time for civic theatre and knitting.
When I should have been studying for comps last weekend, I made a calorimetry headband. It is a bit too big for my wee noggin so I guess that just means I have to make another one. Heheh.
I cast on for Ice Queen yesterday and am about 7 rows from being done. Using little 10/0 seed beads and crocheting them on with really fine mohair yarn is KILLER. Um, hi, yes I like to torture myself.
